This study aims to analyze the noble values embedded in the Bersih Dusun tradition in Dologan Hamlet, Jendi Village, Girimarto District, Wonogiri Regency, as social capital for promoting religious moderation. This study employed a qualitative method with a descriptive-interpretative approach. Data were collected through observations of the Bersih Dusun procession, in-depth interviews with religious leaders, community leaders, tradition practitioners, and residents involved in the implementation of the tradition, as well as a literature review. Informants were selected purposively based on their involvement in and knowledge of the Bersih Dusun tradition. The data were analyzed interpretatively using Roland Barthes' semiotic approach to uncover the denotative, connotative, and mythological meanings embedded in the symbols, objects, and ritual practices of Bersih Dusun. The findings indicate that the Bersih Dusun tradition embodies the values of tolerance, mutual cooperation, togetherness, and interfaith harmony, as reflected in the involvement of people from different religious backgrounds in the preparation, implementation, and social activities associated with the tradition. The ritual symbols not only represent respect for ancestral heritage but also convey social meanings of togetherness, balance, and acceptance of differences. Such collective participation creates a space for social interaction that strengthens relationships among community members, reduces potential tensions, and contributes to the development of a harmonious social life. Thus, Bersih Dusun can be regarded as a form of local wisdom that contributes to strengthening religious moderation through the practices of tolerance, mutual cooperation, and interfaith harmony within a pluralistic society.
